mobile applications and tracking platforms.
We act as the Data Controller for customer account information, and a Data Processor for tracking
data generated by your device but visible only to you.

Lock & Track staff do NOT access, store, monitor, or download tracking/journey data.

Depending on the product, systems may operate on UK, EU, or Chinese-hosted servers. All data is
encrypted.

We never sell or monetise data.

Only shared with:
• Tracking platform providers
• Installation engineers

Never shared: tracking data, journey history, movement data.

• Recover deleted tracking data

1. Tracking Data Retention
Lock & Track does NOT store or retain tracking data.
Tracking data (GPS location, speed, routes, driving score, alerts) is visible only to the customer
through their account. ‘
When a subscription expires:
• Access is disabled automatically
• Tracking history is deleted automatically by the system
• Deleted data cannot be recovered
This complies with UK GDPR Article 5 (Data Minimisation & Storage Limitation).
2. Personal Data Retention
We retain:
• Account information: up to 6 years
• Installation records: up to 6 years
• Payment/invoice records: 6 years
• Device IMEI/registration info: up to 6 years
3. Data Storage
Systems may operate on UK, EU or Chinese-hosted servers depending on product line. All data is
encrypted.
4. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for exporting/downloading any reports or data they wish to retain before
a subscription lapses.
